‘Travel is an investment in yourself’ 

 I never travelled all that much as a kid but don’t get me wrong I was always in different places trying new things and making memories thanks to my wonderful family.

When I met my boyfriend 8 years a go, that was when I really started using my passport and do you know what I found a huge passion in life.

I don’t earn an awful lot of money in my job, so I can’t travel every month (even though I would love to) but every penny I do save to explore a new place is worth it... money returns, time doesn’t.

There are so many places to explore and still find in this world.
Why settle for the same place every year, doing the same old stuff every week and not trying anything new... Life is too Short!

This blog is going to be where I share my stories, tips and adventures on travelling and how it can change your life for the better!

Food in Krakow

‘You   can’t just eat good   food,  you’ve got to talk about it too’ If your a foodie like me then Poland is the place to go!  We went to the city of Krakow and couldn’t get enough of the tasty treats on offer and the delicious flavours.  The city is known for its cafe culture, wherever you go you can grab a coffee and a cake, even in the evening... I’m not joking there is cake everywhere, I had to undo my buttons on my jeans a few times, but there is so much more to try here too!!! Here is my Top 10 that you can’t miss out on...prepare for your mouth to start watering! Doughnuts (pączki) They don’t come better than this... filled with mainly a fruit filling but also savoury doughnuts are on offer too. Dominican Republic

‘Nothing soothes the soul like a walk on the beach’ I couldn’t wait to visit Dominican Republic with its white sands, crystal blue waters and swaying palm trees... PARADISE!! First a little bit of history...  This island is also known as Hispaniola and is the second biggest in the Caribbean which is made up of Dominican Republic and Haiti. These two countries are separated by a boarder and the people living on either side of the island rarely mix after decades of political tensions and mutual fears fed by a history of wars and massacres. People from Haiti who come over to Dominican Republic do so looking for work as the Dominican Republic is the more greener, rainier side of the island and has better farmland which means more jobs especially working in the sugar cane fields. Also it is a popular tourist destination which also creates more job opportunities. It’s sad to think that this is how things have ended up but hopefully in the future the government will sort themselves
