Top Tips Cuba

‘I’ve got the travel bug’  So Cuba what to do and what not to do!!  Here’s some top tips to follow that I think you should know before travelling to this beautiful destination...  Number 1 - Money So the money is confusing!!  In Cuba there are two currencies- the CUP which is the Cuban Peso but this is mainly used by locals. You may end up with change in this money if buying from the local shops etc.  The other is CUC’s but which are Cuban Convertible Peso and what we used and most tourists, it    is the same rate as US Dollars... 1 CUC is the same as $1. It    has more value and easier to use.  Cubans also accept Euros and Canadian Dollars. Neither CUC or CUP are available outside of Cuba, which means you'll need to take your travel money with you in pounds, ready to convert at one of the banks or the hotel your staying at.  Take cash, not many places accept card and make sure you have lots of smaller notes to tip, buy drinks etc because most places

‘I love places that make you realise how tiny you and your problems are!’ Cuba... the three C’s - Culture, Colour and Cars!!  What a place!!!! As soon as you land at the airport you realise what a magnificent place this is full of fun and music.  With its dramatic mountainous landscapes, unspoilt valleys, fields of sugarcanes, tobacco plantations, the most beautiful beaches and colourful cities, what’s not to love!  This place is definitely somewhere worth visiting and exploring, expect the unexpected!  There are so many places to visit and so many things to see and do. Here’s where we went...  Havana  Cuba’s carefree capital!!! Also known as La Habaná... What a place, this is somewhere that has to be on your list. The cobblestone streets are surrounded by old and unique building, there’s something to see round every corner. Krakow Top Tips

‘I’ve got adventure in my soul’ Krakow, full of food, culture, hidden gems and history... Before you go check out these Top Tops which I think everyone should know before exploring this beautiful city!  Money (Zloty)  The money used here is the Zloty, make sure you order your money if getting it before you go but most places accept card or cash.  It is super cheap in Krakow!! You won’t need lots of spending money trust me, we took way too much as didn’t expect it to be so little for food etc. We bought two cakes and two coffees most days from the cafes and it cost us about 10 zlotys which is the same as £2.20. We also had a three course meal with wine and cocktails and it came to 170 Zlotys which is about £37. Cheap cheap cheap!!!!!  Polish food  Try everything! Check out my food blog for more details but the food is to die for, especially the doughnuts, dumplings and pizza bread. You can’t be healthy here but the extra pounds are worth it, trust me!  Wat

Food in Krakow

‘You   can’t just eat good   food,  you’ve got to talk about it too’ If your a foodie like me then Poland is the place to go!  We went to the city of Krakow and couldn’t get enough of the tasty treats on offer and the delicious flavours.  The city is known for its cafe culture, wherever you go you can grab a coffee and a cake, even in the evening... I’m not joking there is cake everywhere, I had to undo my buttons on my jeans a few times, but there is so much more to try here too!!! Here is my Top 10 that you can’t miss out on...prepare for your mouth to start watering! Doughnuts (pączki) They don’t come better than this... filled with mainly a fruit filling but also savoury doughnuts are on offer too. Doughnuts filled with rose are everywhere and are so tasty but also don’t miss out on the chocolate filled ones either.  In Poland instead of pancake day they celebrate Fat Thursday which is basically a day of doughnuts.
